Antique Sèvres Fond Bleu Céleste Ormolu Mounted Urns with Lids Set of Two
The Sèvres makers mark, a V , identifies the manufacturing year of these urns as 1774.
They are both in excellent antique condition, with the following exceptions:
Both lids have been poorly repaired and are shown in the pictures.
Both urns are in excellent condition, except for one chipped area, under the lower filial, above the base on one urn. The other urn has no cracks, chips or crazing.
The ormolu accents are clean and tight.No other deficiencies were noted, but please review the pictures as they are part of the description and show the physical condition of both urns, the lids, and the makers mark up close.
Each urn stands 10.5 inches tall and features an intricate, hand painted courting couple pattern, in a serene pastoral setting.
