This is an Antique Chinese Dragon Rice Grain Porcelain Plate signed with the Wan Yu mark. Late 19th Century to early 20th century!

Beautiful cobalt blue hand painted 5-Clawed Imperial Dragon With Pearl And Flames design. The symbol of the Chinese five-clawed dragon is a very prevalent one, especially in art of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

These Chinese rice grain porcelain (also known as grain de riz ware) plates are made of thin porcelain and have finely carved rice-like holes which are covered with a transparent glaze.

Beautiful rare plates that would make a fantastic addition to your kitchen decor, to a collection, display pieces, or an unique gift.

These plates are actually part of 2 different collections. Note the difference in markings and border detail on the back.

8.5 inches diameter

Condition: Pre-Owned Good

Hardly any signs of wear!
