NORTH AVENUE IRREGULARS by Reverend Albert Fay Hill
1979 BERKLEY 1st Edition Paperback Movie Tie In

First printing of this movie tie-in mass market paperback edition of The North Avenue Irregulars by Reverend Albert Fay Hill (Berkley Books, 1979). The basis for the comedy Disney film where a pastor and parish take on the mob in the suburbs. This edition is quite rare and includes several images taken from the film.

The North Avenue Irregulars by Albert F. Hill is a memoir that recounts the efforts of Reverend Hill and a group of churchwomen in fighting organized crime in New Rochelle, New York, during the 1960s. The book details how Hill, despite skepticism from some members of his congregation, took an active role in tackling illegal gambling operations, recruiting an unlikely team of women to assist in the mission.

The story was later adapted into a 1979 Disney comedy film, which dramatized the events with humor and action.

The book is in nice Condition with minor wear (ink mark)
