Modeled after the Balloon Dog Sculpture by American artist Jeff Koons. There were 4 different versions of the sculpture, made between 1994-2000, with each having a different color: blue, magenta, yellow, orange & red.
It was part of the Celebration series of artwork and is one of the many sculptures inspired by inflatable characters. Koons said about the series quotes Ive always enjoyed balloon animals because theyre like us were balloons you take a breath and you inhale, its an optimism. You exhale, and its kind of a symbol of death.
