This book is in very good- condition without dust jacket as issued. Only 1 owner, my relative. Oversized Golden book, 13” by 9 6/8”. Copyright 1958 by Golden Press. 28 Traditional stories by French, German, Danish, Russian and Japanese. Multiple authors including Hans Christian Anderson. Without previous owner name, very clean pages.
Book shows staining on outer tips, lamination is starting to lift on front upper right corner of the cover, which is circled. Some of the stains are circled for easier visibility in pictures. Pages are yellowed around edges of pages due to age. No rips or writing. Binding is sturdy. Illustrations are very beautifully detailed and dreamy! This is a true 1st US printing from 1958. It is becoming very difficult to find the true 1st printings in very good or better condition.
