6 Vintage Johann Seltmann Vohenstrauss Bavaria Luncheon Plates - Rare Find

These difficult to find porcelain 9.5 plates from Vohenstrauss Johann Seltmann depict various Bavarian woodland wildlife. The mark on the back was used beginning around 1965, but production in Vohenstrauss was discontinued in 1996, so the plates were likely produced during that time. The plates are rimmed with gold trim. Except for the hare plate, there are no chips, cracks, repairs, or discoloration with the plates in very nice vintage condition with only slight evidence of wear. There is a chip at the rim (mostly on the underside) on the hare plate as shown in photographs.
The area of the designs representing the sky background appear to have some possible utensil scratches, but perplexingly they only seem to be obvious in those areas and nowhere else in the design, which leads to the possibility that they were part of the original design (or possibly crazing?). These plates could be used to complete a set or become part of a mix-and-match. They would make beautiful display plates.
