The U.S.S. Hammond was the sixth BC-304 craft (also known as the Daedalus class) to enter service. It was commissioned in 2009 and was named in honor of General George S. Hammond, who commanded the Stargate program and died just as it was completed. As one of the later vessels of the class to be built it was much more advanced than its predecessors. It combined Earth and Asgard technology and had railguns, plasma beam weapons, sophisticated shields and transporters. It was equipped with a hyperdrive that enabled it to travel between galaxies and was assigned to the Pegasus galaxy where it defended Atlantis and fought the Wraith. The model is 8.25” long.
