The "Horse of Pucara" or "Caballo de Pucara" is a handmade figurine created by local artisans in the southern part of Peru, as a reminder of the history and power of the horse to the Inca Culture. When the Incas were conquered by the Spaniards, different animals were introduced to Peru, among them the bull, the horse and the chicken. The Incas admired the horses for their strength. Horses of Pucara are souvenir examples that represent part of cultural heritage. As it's know, they are still made using the original handmade painting technique, and molded in the traditional clay ovens.Dimensions: 8" Height x 6" Width Material: Ceramic.Imported. Made by Peruvian Artisans.
