Antique DERMAY Porcelain Bath Dresser BoxPowder Box

This Dermay powder box | dresser box would originally have contained bath powder. (See advertisement from 1928 for similar Dermay box.) It can be used for small jewelry or other tiny treasures. The incredibly intricate, hand painted porcelain box shows a seated woman admiring her “mirrored” image. Notice the gold trim (especially on the tip of her tiny shoe,) her demure expression and the delicate fingers of her right hand… 🙀 There is a scuff on the bottom of the mirror and a place where the glaze is missing along the front edge of the lid (manufacturing flaw,) but overall I think it’s in fine shape for one this old. No chips, breaks or repairs. It measures approximately 6” x 7” x 5” and retains the original DERMAY foil label on the bottom that reads FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK”. It is additionally stamped clearly MADE IN JAPAN inside the lid.** Because this is so fragile and requires double boxing to ship, I prefer it not be bundled, or only with clothing or jewelry. ** Eleventh photo shows comparable for sale elsewhere.
