Extra Large Vintage French Bamboo/Wicker Suitcase.
38 x 24 x 14
Red metal handles rivited securely on ends front. Locks on sides of front handle not functional, decorative only. Hinged top with burlap straps to hold the lid open at a 90° angle if desired. Trunk is reinforced & framed with wood strips, riveted to body of trunk & metal brackets.
The pictures show how well made this piece is.
*Originally purchased at the Paris Flea Market by my mother almost 40 years ago.
The only flaws are the broken wicker pieces on the bottom of trunk (see pics).
