This is a RETIRED, 1953 MINT Royal Doulton The JOVIAL MONK HN 2144 Brown MONK Figurine. He is wearing a brown monk/friar cloak, wrapped at the waist with a rope. He is holding a bowl of fish in one hand and a chicken in the other. He has one sandal foot sticking out from his robe.
This figurine, designed by Peggy Davies, was produced from 1954 to 1976. It is a figurine of a monk in brown robes. The piece has a gloss finish. It has the standard Royal Doulton backstamp to the base.
