This antique faience blue-glazed Ancient Egyptian plaque depicts a Pharaoh holding a musical instrument and wearing the golden disc of Rah on his head (Signifying the Pharaoh's importance). The antique is a fabulously preserved piece of history for all ancient Egyptian lovers to enjoy!

This piece was made by local Egyptians for affluent visitors who traveled to Egypt on educational Grand Tours of various archaeologically significant sites between 1780-1920s; a time also known as the Egyptian Revival Period.

This antique Egyptian plaque was attested as made by Egyptians in Egypt during the “Grand Tour/Egyptian Revival” period (1780s-1930s) by Mr. Matthew Wicks of Ancient Hands LTD, and accompanied by a signed “Provenance & Ownership” document.
