A beautiful old stock Alpine Hematite Rose or Eisenrose Bouquet on a Dolomite Matrix from high up in the Swiss Alps. Full mountain climbing expeditions often many days long are undertaken to find these beautiful intricate Hematite Rosettes. Quartz and Fluorite are also highly prized and more often found. These intricate blades of Hematite have a mirror luster and sharp bladed terminations. Many of these bladed crystals grow on top of one another forming a fibonacci spiral that is so marvelous to see. These are very rare and highly sought after. This comes from a Swiss collector who mined this in the 1950s.
