One of the absolute hardest to get to localities in the world. Rapid Creek is located in the rugged and unforgiving wilderness of the Yukon. Crystals are expressions of the Earth. So in my humble opinion that alone is reason enough to consider this a very special mineral. On top of that its absolutely amazing with its deep blue color that when adequately backlit shows its pleiochroism displaying a green color. This pleiochroism comes as a surprise considering the dark color saturation. This cluster has a high luster and sharp form with some minor Siderite crystals.This locality is no longer producing any new material and as a result this material has increased in value and scarcity. Some very lusterous sharp crystals in this cluster with great blue and green color saturation especially within the most pronounced crystals. There is some edge wear and minor damage to some of the crystals but all and all the piece displays well and is in good condition.
