Here’s a Ramones shirt from the late 80s (I bought it in 1988), with an all-over “bleach” design, and Ramones screenprint on the front.
Done on a Stedman Super Hi-Cru shirt — a favorite of vintage skateboard companies — sz mens XL; the cool thing? It fits like an XL! It’s about 22” pit-to-pit, and about 28” from shoulder to bottom hem.
Research says this MIGHT be a Mosquitohead shirt. I know I bought a Misfits Mosquitohead in the same shop this was bought, but I am not 100% certain if this one is a Mosquitohead. What I am certain of is that this is a rare shirt, and I haven’t seen anything similar in a while. If you collect vintage punk shirts, this is the one for you!
Signs of wear and age: a few small holes, and a bit of a brownish stain along the back. Luckily, it sort of “blends” into the pattern, so it doesn’t stand out. I washed it and hung it to try, and it doesn’t feel rotted out. There’s still a hint of “storage scent” to it, but should go away.
