RARE Christian Dior 1950's Chevreau Vintage Coveted Off White Leather Evening Gloves with Silver Gimp Trim. These gloves were designed while Monsieur Dior was still creative director of the brand. Christian Dior, the legendary French couturier, had a tremendous impact on fashion despite the short span of his career (he died in 1957, just 10 years after launching his first collection). In addition to creating signature looks, like the “New Look” that changed the entire silhouette for women’s fashion in the late 1940s, he built a comprehensive fashion empire, opening a stocking and glove division in 1951.These gloves are a true rarity of vintage Dior couture accessories. It’s hard enough to find vintage Dior gloves from the early decades of this great fashion house, but it is extraordinary to find them in such good condition: Kid leatherthey are off white, with a gorgeous silver gimp trim. These buttery soft leather, elegant and special gloves can be worn for the ultimate in chic glam!
