1.64”x1.58x.60” Dark gray rock matrix covered w/ glittering emerald green, very rare, chromium bearing urarovite garnets from the Saranovskii Mine in the Ural Mountains of Russia. The rarest of the common members of the garnet group & is the only consistently green garnet species. A collector’s grade specimen acquired from the fine mineral & crystal collection held by JoJoJems. I really love this piece because of the size of each gem that can be seen individually. I see lots of these specimens that are covered w/ green that doesn’t sparkle w/ a few garnets. It looks like the garnets were smashed & their dust embedded into the rock. Not sure if that’s what happens, but it looks like that to me
