Sculptural, high quality collector’s specimen of glassy calcite on matrix from the Red Cliff Cave in Gallatin County, Montana, USA. The fully natural, gemmy and unique display piece features a lustrous, double terminated yellow gold calcite crystal. This trigonal- rhombohedral / scalenohedral, prismatic raw gem has well-defined, sharp edges and glossy surfaces, with a similar form to the famed Elmwood calcite crystal. The calcite shows sparkles of rainbow iridescence and an almost inner golden gold! It’s perched aesthetically on a cast matrix of smaller clustered dogtooth calcite crystals. They radiate in all directions for a floral rosette look. Great luster and aesthetics on this gorgeous American fine mineral specimen. Measures approx 5.5 by 3.5 by 3cm and includes the ID / locale info card.
