It was originally The May Co. and was then merged with the Daniel Fischer company in 1957.Sweater appears new and never worn. Part of the original string tag remains around the label of the sweater. This sweater is very thick, chunky and heavy. Very well made beautiful design, made in Italy. Made for COLD weather. I thought about keeping this for myself but I don’t think it would get the wear it deserves. It reminds me of an I Love Mr. Mittens or Doen sweater. I would recommend hand washing or dry cleaning due to the age before wearing, although it can be worn as is. Ask questions before purchasing. Price is firm!
