GREGORY (Gregory) Blue Tag 1994 Shoulder Blade Backpack Daypack

This is a shoulder blade from Gregory's blue tag era, manufactured in 1994.

My family purchased it at Tokyu Hands in Shibuya around 1994-1995. After a few uses, it was stored away for about 25 years. Around 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was rediscovered and I removed the polyurethane coating using baking soda.

Unlike Gregory daypacks or other simple daypacks, the Shoulder Blade has many pen slots and small compartments, making the coating removal extremely difficult. To achieve a perfect removal and comfortable use, I carefully removed the coating using multiple brushes, taking into account the properties of the nylon in each part. The coating has been almost completely removed.

Those who have experience with this type of cleaning will understand that this price includes the considerable labor involved.

Through this process, I grew even more attached to the bag. I used it a few more times after cleaning, but due to a change in preference and lifestyle, I no longer use it and am offering it for sale.

There is no fading on the shoulder straps, no discoloration on the sternum strap hardware, no whitening of the plastic buckles, and no fraying of the nylon webbing.

As mentioned above, the bag is in excellent condition, having been used less than 10 times in total since new.

While some photos may show the color appearing faded, this is due to lighting; there is no actual fading or discoloration on the bag itself.

The zipper pulls are not in perfect condition as the originals were used on another Gregory daypack. Consider them as accessories only. The bag was used without the original zipper pulls.
