This is a 2001 Patagonia Baggies Pullover.

I believe it was an item from 2000.

It's a pullover style with a thin nylon shell, waterproof zipper, and a deep front zipper.
It has no lining and is light and comfortable to wear.
It can be folded and stored in the hood, so it's convenient to carry in your bag for travel or nighttime in this season.

It's nice to wear casually over a T-shirt when it's chilly, or to wear over a large button-down shirt with the front open.

I personally like to pair it with military pants or shorts.

It's lightweight and waterproof, but it's a low-tech outdoor wear that is typical of early Patagonia.

It's Essenshell, not Essential.
This word was only known to Patagonia enthusiasts until a few years ago, but recently, popular vintage clothing stores have started carrying it, and the price has skyrocketed.

In particular, this purple color and the even darker Ultraviolet color have been popular and hard to find since the beginning.

Due to the low number of items available compared to the demand, it is unlikely that the price will decrease in the future.

Patagonia has many masterpieces, such as retro cardigans, Das Parkas, Skano Racks, Essenshells, R2, R4, etc., but it's a versatile item that can be paired with Dickies, denim, Reverse Weave, Vans, military pants, Nike, etc.

I can confidently recommend this to those who are looking for authentic vintage Patagonia.
