A striking, yet understated pair of dangling earrings from award winning Navajo artist Ervin Hoskie (Jan. 1953-Mar. 2003). The design is fairly simple, but the execution was meticulous. The channel inlay is comprised of onyx and created opal, which flash in green, aqua, pink, blue, lavender, yellow and peach colors as the direction and intensity of the light changes. The drops hang from pierced posts and gradually taper from narrow at the top to to wider at the base. The earrings measure 1 7/16 long from the top of the posts x 1/4 at the widest. Marked on the reverse, E H Sterling and have a combined weight of 5 grams. In lovely vintage condition.
