Rare Vintage Find From Metlox Pottery Made in California USA
Offering this set of 4 “crock” style canisters in a hand painted depiction of a man plowing his field with a spotted horse and a red farmhouse in the background. They include sold wood lids with a ceramic topper. The pattern is known as “Homestead Provincial” and is part of Metlox Pottery’s Poppytrail kitchenware line. The mention of “Vernon” is a reference to the location of the Vernon kiln where Metlox produced from 1956 – 1960s.

No flaws on design but wood tops could use some spiffing up. The tea canister had a chip at base (see last pic) that was fixed by last owner. All in all a great set for farmhouse/rustic style collector
