*La Rebelión de las Muertas* (released in the U.S. as *Vengeance of the Zombies* and re-released in 1981) is a Spanish horror film originally made in 1973, directed by León Klimovsky and starring horror icon Paul Naschy. The film blends voodoo, murder, and the undead as a mysterious masked killer resurrects women to carry out revenge-driven attacks. Naschy plays multiple roles, including a sinister mystic, in this surreal and bloody mix of gothic horror and Eurocult atmosphere.
