Here’s the infamous Taboo sixth issue—the wall-thick, square-bound volume that jammed together Neil Gaiman’s “Blood Monster, Alan Moore & Eddie Campbell’s next chapter of From Hell, Charles Burns’ photo-comic “Cat Woman Returns, and a fistful of underground shorts that could never have cleared the Comics Code. The 122-page trade paperback was published in 1992 by Stephen R. Bissette’s SpiderBaby Grafix, with production help from Kevin Eastman’s Tundra. Interior stock is bright off-white and the glued binding is still tight. The glossy covers show typical shelf rub, corner roll, and a few thin stress lines but no spine splits. No writing or page tears inside. It’s a solid reader copy if you’ve been hunting the anthology run that helped launch From Hell and spotlighted a who’s-who of ‘90s alternative horror talent.
