The controversial reign of the New Wonder Woman came to an end with issue #204, whose cover featured the Amazing Amazon clad once again in her familiar red-white-and-blue costume, beneath the headline: New Adventures of the Original Wonder Woman. By the following issue, the original cursive logo had been restored as well. Wonder Woman had her full panoply of powers back- bullet-deflecting bracelets and all. She also had a black twin sister named Nubia, the brainchild of new/old series editor Robert Kanigher, a man on a mission to reinvigorate the flailing title by returning it to its mythological roots.
