In 1977, writer Steve Englehart and artist Marshall Rogers teamed up for a memorable six-issue run on Detective Comics. While their tenure on the title was short-lived, their take on Batman remains definitive for many comics readers of that era. Certainly the climactic two-parter of their collaboration, presented in Detective Comics #s 475 and 476, represents a turning point in the evolution of the character of the Joker.
