The frame for this piece is an 1800s interior frame removed from a larger antique frame. It uses blemished wood and was originally covered in fabric, meaning it wasn't meant to be displayed. I removed the fabric and sanded it down slightly making all the imperfections and details stand out and become part of the piece. It measures about 36x22 . This is an original mixed media piece featuring paper, metals and more, by abstract artist Sam Lewis.
