Ultra rare Cox ready to fly rocket in its original packaging from 1972. There was only the first release and this is it. The rarest cox
This is a Little Joe II flying rocket model built by L.M Cox. It is based on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's rocket of the same name that was used as an Apollo test vehicle in the 1960s. The model is plastic with a plastic parachute. A solid propellant rocket motor propels the model, and then at the end of the vertical flight it forces the release of a parachute. The model is then retrieved and can be used again. Not included in this kit are the motor, the launch controller that is used to ignite the motor, and the launch pad from which the model is launched. The only other model know to exists was donated to the National Air and Space Museum.
