1950s vintage, original (Base Etched: Nina Ricci Bottle Made by Lalique France), Coeur Joie real parfum (perfume) splash in a 3/7 ounce (0.43 ounces, or just under ½ an ounce) in a frosted, heart-shaped crystal flacon by Nina Ricci. This is the smallest of the four heart-shaped bottles (3.5 inches tall). It is a post-World War II bottle and was designed by Marc Lalique, NOT Rene Lalique (who died in May of 1945) as Coeur Joie was launched well after his death. Later bottles have raised (embossed) lettering at the base versus etching. Also, Coeur Joie bottles from the 1990s are marked, “® Lalique.” The ® stands for “registered trademark” NOT “Rene” Lalique.
Launched in 1946, Coeur Joie is classified as a floral aldehyde scent and features top notes of aldehydes, neroli, hyacinth, and bergamot; middle notes of gardenia, violet, orange blossom, rose, jasmine, and iris on a base of orris, civet, and precious woods.
