AO American Optical Gold Original Pilot 55[] 20 Bayonet with original AO Glass

AO American Optical AO logo(on the temple arms) Original Pilot 55 mm bayonet aviator sunglasses with the original AO non-polarized glass lenses. The lenses are in very good condition, rating 9/10, non-polarized, no logo. The frames are original 24k Gold aviator frames that were issued to Naval Aviators in the 60-70’s. They have been disassembled, cleaned, and straightened back to original specifications. The plastic temple tips have been removed and thoroughly cleaned, then reinstalled. The gold frame rates a 9/10, with some minor wear marks shown in the pictures. The nose pads are AO original in fantastic condition.The frames are 5.5” wide. Please use that as a guide, with a pair of glasses that fit you, to make sure these will fit your face. Please do this before you bid. The frames are extensively detailed, but they are not new. I do my best, but I cannot make them new. Comes with a new hard case for safe shipping.
This frame and glass rates a 9/10. Very nice, rare size.
