Plastic on the packaging has started to crack and open as seen in the photos, but the reel has never been removed. Through the plastic opening you can see the reel in pristine new condition, which is kind of a site to see as this reel was introduced in the 1980's I believe. Handle is still inside, unattached, as is the documentation at the base of the packaging. This reel does have the trigger Quickfire II feature that allows for one handed casts. Neat bit of history!
