Vintage RELIANCE REVERSE PAINTING ON GLASS BLUE JAY DescriptionThis is item # B.E.-120 "The Blue Jay" - a reverse painting on glass with a silver foil behind that. This process is the "Butterfly Wing Effects Hand Processed on Glass" according to the information on the back of the piece. I have included a photo showing the whole description. Also says "Another "Reliance" Product New York R.P.F. Co. Chicago Beautiful Birds in Pairs". The frame measures 10-3/4" x 7-3/4". The painting itself is in great condition. The frame needs a bit of restoration work (the corners are loose and most of the nails which hold the painting in place are missing) to make it perfect again!
