Vintage Wall side Bust of James Dean hand painted at Clay Art San Francisco. This is one of these coolest items we are currently selling. I have always been fascinated with James Dean, I grew up near Salinas (the place James Dean was on his way to before his horrific accident). Anyhow, James Dean used to go out to my families ranch and race his motorcycle. He loved to babysit my Dad, who was a bay at the time. . .
Anyhow, sorry to get off onto memory lane there.
I guess my point is this is a beautiful piece.
It’s in amazing condition for its age. I have never seen one of these before. Especially with the handwritten “Clay Art” name. There is cracking in the glaze due to age, but that’s to be expected.
