Everything works as expected on startup:

Audio Jack was verified briefly before the battery cut out
The internal battery is showing its age. It still powers on but doesn’t hold a full charge even when idle. Once music playback starts, even while plugged into the charger, the battery dies. It takes an overnight charge to turn on. A replacement battery is recommended to get it fully functional again.
Exterior shows wear: light scratches, a few you can feel with a fingernail, but nothing that detracts from its rugged charm. The buttons remain responsive, and the overall hardware feels solid.
