This item was purchased several years ago, but has never been removed from its original box. There is a fair amount of wear to the box, including bent corners and scuffing (see photos). Given that the box is still sealed, I am unable to test the item and cannot confirm whether the original batteries need to be replaced or whether the toy itself works.
