“KAMUY IPIRMA” is the first album by Soul Flower Union, released on November 1, 1993. As the title, which means "God's Whispers of Nature" in the Ainu language, suggests, the work is themed around the history of resistance of the Ainu people, and features a unique sound that fuses elements of mixture rock and popular music.

Soul Flower Union was formed in 1993 by the dissolution and integration of Newest Model (Kei Nakagawa, Masaya Okuno) and Mescalin Drive (Eiko Itami, Yoko Uchinami). This album was originally based on material that was being produced as the 4th album of Mescalin Drive, with the theme of "History of the Indigenous People of the Japanese Archipelago," and was completed with the support of the Newest Model members. Therefore, it is an extension of Mescalin Drive's style, characterized by a strong Euro-Prog sound, and has a different atmosphere from the later festive style of Soul Flower Union.
