This is an exquisite example of a mold-made terracotta oil lamp with a depiction of an eagle incised into its sunken discus (center). The piece is in great antique condition with a snub looped handle and a blunt spout.

This particular lamp does not seem to have served a functional use, and was most likely intended for funerary purposes (to light the way into eternity) which was customary of the times.
