Green mark: Crown over intertwined W” this is the Carl Thieme / Potschappel Dresden factory (founded 1872 in Saxony, Germany).
Red stamp: Made in Western Germany / handgemalt / Dresden Art” confirms post-WWII export (West Germany, 1950s1970s).
Mold and decorator numbers: 7563 26” and impressed numbers are internal factory references.
2. Style:
The delicate lace dress is a hallmark of Dresden lace porcelain. Real lace was dipped in porcelain slip, fired, and transformed into fragile lacework.
Bright enamels (purple, turquoise, pink) and detailed faces are consistent with Carl Thieme’s mid-20th century Dresden production.
3. Origin & Era:
Factory: Carl Thieme, Potschappel (Dresden area, Saxony, Germany)
Date: Post-1950s, Cold War West Germany era (due to Western Germany” mark).
