This very rare, highly collectible and amazingly constructed Dept 56 Halloween house is, I believe, one of Department 56’s first Halloween houses. The detail is mind blowing. From the faces, hands, clothing, really incredible. There is even a deer’s head mounted on the wall inside the house over the fireplace mantle. A teddy bear sitting on the bed can be seen through the window. The colors are vibrant and there is a sparkly purple sheen on the roof that does NOT rub off. It’s also very heavy, weighs about 5.5 lbs (5 lbs 7 oz) out of the box, 6 lbs 10 oz in the box.
The house is in great condition. One minor chip off the wooden/particle board door on the back. If you see a white fleck, it’s not a chip. It’s a piece of the styrofoam that is a bit crumbly with age.
It’s in the older style box, has minimal wear from age/storage. Out of box the village house measures approx. 11.5” tall, 9.5” across and 4.75” deep. Box measures 15.75” x 13.25” x 8.25”. Will be shipped in a larger box
