I have worn this item once after purchasing it and have kept it in my closet since then.
The last image is a picture of me trying it on.

Here is a description of the item:

The material is acetate rayon twill, which is soft and drapes nicely. It has a moderate sheen and is very atmospheric. The fabric is thin and comfortable to wear, without any padding. The ribs are 100% acrylic and are knitted with a slightly sweet feel. They will stretch slightly with wear, and will show signs of aging along with the body and embroidery.
This is a reversible type with both sides made of acetate, the most standard type of souvenir jacket. In the post-war era, acetate, a material with a luxurious feel similar to silk, was used for items that were not subject to material rationing. Since it has no padding, it can be worn regardless of the season, and the drape unique to acetate is a major attraction.
This piece is a reproduction of a work from the late 1950s.
The color is a reversible green x black type. It is a reproduction of a souvenir jacket that was made by the Kōshō Shōkai (the predecessor of Tailor Toyo) at the request of the US military in the late 1950s and sold at the PX (base store) at the Alaska base. This type of Alaska pattern is particularly rare, and this piece features the popular lightning bolt and polar bear on the chest and a motif of the Alaskan state flag, aurora borealis, Denali (Mount McKinley), the state bird ptarmigan, the state flower forget-me-not, and totem poles, all symbols of Alaska, on the back. The reversible side features a design of an Alaskan husky, inspired by the Inuit dog sled. The inscription 49th STATE indicates that this souvenir jacket was made to commemorate Alaska becoming the 49th state of the United States in 1959.
Both sides have a color change on the sleeves, with piping in a contrasting color around the edges.
