early vintage cookie jar. These are very desirable jars. Please see photos for condition. No chips or cracks visible, some natural crazing has occurred over time with is common to find on jars of this era.

The cookie jar measures 11 inches high, there is crazing and paint loss on the cold paint.

"We celebrate the birth of Nancy Green in 1834. She was a Black storyteller and one of the first black corporate models in the United States.
The world knew her as "Aunt Jemima," but her given name was Nancy Green. The famous Aunt Jemima recipe was not her recipe but she became the advertising world's first living trademark.
The front of the cookie jar reads cookies and the bottom has the famous McCoy incised name.
