THESE WERE SALVAGED FROM THE DESTRUCTION OF THE BERLIN WALL IN 1989 AND WILL ARRIVE IN A BURGUNDY VELVET POUCH WITH THE DOCUMENTATION ORIGINALLY INCLUDED: THE DOCUMENTS OF AUTHENTICITY, AN INFORMATIVE BOOKLET, AND THE SOFT VELVET POUCH IN WHICH TO KEEP AND PROTECT THESE HISTORIC ARTIFACTS.
CONTAINS TWO (2) PIECES OF THE BERLIN WALL EACH MEASURING 1 1/4 TO 1 1/2 INCHES LONG. GENERALLY THESE INCLUDED ONLY ONE PIECE, BUT SOMEHOW WE LUCKED OUT, OR OTHER SELLERS ARE HOLDING OUT BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T SEEN A LISTING WITH MORE THAN ONE PIECE OF THE WALL INCLUDED. IN ADDITION, ONE OF THESSE PIECES HAS TURQUOISE BLUE COLORING GOING THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF IT.
THAT BEING SAID, THESE ARE A WONDERFUL COLLECTIBLE AND REMINDER OF A GOVERNMENT OUT OF CONTROL. PERHAPS YOU ARE TOO YOUNG TO KNOW THE HISTORY, BUT THERE WAS A BORDER WALL BETWEEN EAST AND WEST BERLIN, AND MANY PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES TRYING TO CROSS OVER IT.
