In the brand vintage clothing store called Kanful in America-mura, Osaka, I purchased this Evisu overalls about 35 years ago. It is a very thick and impressive pair of overalls. I bought it for almost 100,000 yen as it was considered a rare item from the early days of Evisu.
It features the early Evisu house tag, the Evisu name without the U (at that time they were sued by Levi's), Evisu Industry buttons with a lacquer finish, YKK zipper before it was changed to Yamane zipper, and the initial paintwork by Yamane-sama with the slightly off-centered seagull paint. This is a vintage piece from the early days of Evisu, with the fabric likely to fade into a light blue over time.
