Conway Twitty (Harold L. Jenkins) was a rock star. Working for Sam Phillips at Sun Records, he recorded It Was Only Make Believe, and he sounded so much Like Elvis, the rumors circulated that it WAS Elvis singing that song under the pseudonym of Conway Twitty, so the song sold 4 million copies and Conway's career was off and running. But then he became a Country Legend and died in 1993 at the age of 60.
