1950s 8 AC Betsy McCall Doll - Light Brn Hair Holiday Dress First Edition (M5)
The doll is in nice clean condition, no odors. She has the shorter fuller face of the first year doll and also has the stitched wig with a center part and bangs. The wig is in good shape (some stitching is showing). She has 2 original barrette's. Her face is pale but cheeks are rosy and lip color is great. Her head is loose and needs re-stringing. Her legs are attached at knees with what appears to be metal pins so the legs may not be original. Also, her left knee is stiff and not easy to bend so it may be a repair from previous owner. She has sleepy eyes that open and close on their own. Her head and limbs appear good with no re-stringing needed. No cracks in her crotch area. She comes with an original Betsy McCall Red Plaid Holiday Dress and red rubber Mary Jane shoes with good closing knobs and straps.
