This listing is for a seemingly rare depression glass inkwell with lid. The lid is decorated with gold trim and enamel. The base also has gold trim along the base. This is uranium glass, and it gives a great glow. I wasn't able to find another piece like this one. It does not appear to be marked.
The item is a little under 8-1/2 inches wide and weighs 2 pounds, 4.9 ounces.
There are small chips along the top edge of the bottom piece, and along the interior edge of the lid. The largest chip is clear in one of the photos provided. There is some loss of the gold trim.
