Markings read: By Appointment To Her Majesty the Queen China Potters Paragon Fine Bone China England Reg Paragon started as the Star China Company in 1897, founded by Hugh Irving and Herbert Aynsley (great-grandson of John Aynsley who founded Aynsley China). The company existed as Paragon China Company Limited from 1919 - 1960. The company changed hands several times in the 1960s and finally finished as part of the Royal Doulton group. Paragon is known for the many royal warrants, starting in 1926 and concluding with Queen Elizabeth II granting a Royal Warrant of Appoint in 1953 shortly after her coronation. Please bear in mind that these are vintage items and there may be small imperfections from age or flaws from production.
