For some reason, out of the couple 100 or so Kennedy half dollars I buy on occasion, I just happened to pick this one up the other day, just to look over it with my magnifying glass. It felt just a tad bit too light. So I got my most precise scale out, and it measured 10.95 grams. I thought it might have been a mistake, so I cleared the scale and weighed it again, again 10.95grams. Now I know maybe .05grams, and maybe even pushing .10grams might happen from time to time, but almost .40grams off? Now that sounds pretty abnormal to me.
