This was first introduced around 1830,. Scottish styles were popularised by Queen Victoria; also tourist pieces acquired whilst on the European “Grand Tour’. Influences from other countries were also being felt. At this stage, most jewellery was only worn by married women. This could have represented different clans or families or certain sides during games (competitions) per say. It's very old and I've not seen one just like it at all. All the other ones found are lined up differently but the same as one another though different to this one but it has the same makers mark on back, it's made of real stones and solid antique silver (missing pin in back but that's easily replaceable.
